Do you have a child
between the ages of 5 and 19 that loves horses? Do you wish he or
she had the opportunity to learn more about horses AND obtain
valuable life skills? Then you should consider
4-H!
4-H
provides
horse-owning and non-horse-owning youth with training in basic horse
science and horsemanship. A variety of educational events are
offered to members including horse bowl, essay, judging, public
speaking, stable management events, horse shows, horsemanship camps,
retreats and clinics, trail rides and five artistic expression
events. Through these and other 4-H opportunities, youth develop
leadership skills, build character, and assume citizenship
responsibilities.
Chestnut
Hill Stables sponsors the Rockin’ Riders 4-H Horse Club. Members of
our club have received awards at district, state, regional and
national competitions. To learn more about the 4-H program and our
club, contact Shelby Bivins at 336-613-3549.
